Earlier this month, together with our esteemed partner Africa Research and Data Limited, we were awarded a contract to conduct a Study of Vi Agroforestry’s Impact on Agrobiodiversity through SALM [Sustainable Agriculture and Land Management] and Agroforestry. The study aimed to establish the impact of this initiative [SALM and agroforestry] on agrobiodiversity, i.e., on the variety and variability of animals, plants, and micro-organisms that are used directly or indirectly for food and agriculture, including crops, livestock, forestry, and fisheries. More specifically, the study will delve into the diversity of genetic resources (varieties, breeds) and species used for food, fodder, fibre, fuel, and pharmaceuticals.
Please explore a brief overview of the initiative and the main activities we will be undertaking to learn more: https://bit.ly/3PIm2ab.
